Faculty are at the core of AMCH. They bring extensive experience in homeopathy, clinical treatment and teaching to our programs. A core value of AMCH is the success of students. Faculty are critical to this aspect of our college, and are trained and encouraged to work with students to ensure their success.

  • Margaret Williams MD, MD(H)

    Faculty

    Dr. Margaret Jean Williams specializes in the Medicine of Well-Being, integrating elements of psychiatry, medicine, shamanism, breath, heart centered meditation, dream work, sacred storytelling, nutrition, movement and healing touch and homeopathy. She graduated from LSU School of Medicine in Shreveport and completed residencies at UTMB in Galveston in Pediatrics and Psychiatry. She completed her Child and Adolescent Fellowship there as well. She is in her fourth decade of medical practice which has taken her see patients in private practice, hospitals, shelters, residential treatment facilities, university clinics, community mental health facilities, jails, prisons and children's prisons. She also taught psychiatry in a family practice residency program. Dr. Williams has been gifted with depth experiences in shamanic fields and shamanic initiations, ancient healing modalities, and the heart center exploring the deeper mysteries of what it means to be human, mysteries of the soul and the heart and what happens when we live too much in the mind, and how to return to the heart and body where our hearts and souls can blossom creating well-being. Her interests include continuing these explorations, painting, guitar, traveling, ranching, gardening and sharing her discoveries through talks, gatherings, workshops, and individual sessions.

    Mary Beth Ackerley MD, MD(H), ABIHM is a Harvard and Johns Hopkins trained board certified psychiatrist.     Victoria Bowmann, PhD, is a health care professional, author and speaker with more than 30 years of expertise in cleansing, detoxification, digestive and gastro-intestinal (GI) health.   • Patrick Hesselmann, CCH

    Patrick Hesselmann spent a successful career as a manufacturing engineer in the computer and avionics industries in Phoenix, Arizona, where, apart from working with the development and implementation of electronics assembly processes, he became best known for helping people work together. During the last fifteen years of his career, he studied homeopathy as an avocation, focusing on Hahnemann’s Organon, developing a good feel for its depth, wisdom and importance in the understanding and practice of homeopathy. Patrick is Co-chair of the AMCH board as well as being heavily involved in the day-to-day running of the technology for the online classes. He teaches Homeopathic Philosophy and History of Homeopathy for AMCH. He remains a passionate advocate for homeopathy although he no longer practices.

  • Dr. Todd Rowe

    Todd Rowe, MD, MD(H), DHt, CCH

    Dr. Todd Rowe is the president and a founder of the American Medical College of Homeopathy. He is a licensed homeopathic physician who has been practicing homeopathy for more than 20 years and has a full time practice in classical homeopathy. He is certified by the American Board of Homeotherapeutics and the Council for Homeopathic Certification. He has been a doctor of medicine since 1984 and a graduate of Rush Medical School, Chicago, Illinois. He completed his psychiatric residency at the University of Vermont in 1988 and achieved Board Certification in Psychiatry in 1992. He completed his homeopathic training at the Hahnemann College of Homeopathy in Albany, CA. Dr. Rowe teaches extensively. He is the president of the American Medical College of Homeopathy. He supervises homeopathic students and trains medical students and residents in classical homeopathy. He has published several distance learning courses designed to help prepare physicians for first aid and acute prescribing, as well as preparing for homeopathic licensing exams. He has written several books on homeopathic education, including Homeopathic Methodology, The Homeopathic Journey and Choosing a Career in Homeopathic Medicine. Dr. Rowe is the director of the Society for the Establishment of Research in Classical Homeopathy. He has conducted numerous provings, mostly focusing on local flora and fauna. He has recently published a book called Desert Medicine: A Homeopathic Exploration.
  • Thomas Lodi MD, MD(H)

    Thomas Lodi MD, MD(H) worked in conventional settings as an internal medicine specialist, urgent care physician, and as an intensivist in ICU and CCU departments of various hospitals for ten years. Subsequently, Dr Lodi continued his search for more effective and less toxic therapies by training around the world from Japan to Europe to Mexico and all around the US.   • Dr. Maryann Ivons, ND

    Maryann Ivons, ND

    Dr. Ivons is a Registered Nurse and a Naturopathic Physician. She has worked in critical care and emergency nursing, and has taught in nursing programs in both California and Washington State, including nursing and coronary care courses at Everett (WA) Community College and the College of the Redwoods (CA). She has also been adjunct academic faculty at Bastyr University for many years, teaching Physical/Clinical Diagnosis and several homeopathy courses, and has taught Homeopathy for Acute Medical Conditions through Bastyr’s Continuing Ed. program. She was a clinical instructor in homeopathy and in naturopathic medicine at the Bastyr Clinic for many years, and has served as a clinical preceptor for Bastyr ND students for nearly fifteen years. Dr. Ivons has had a private practice in family medicine, with an emphasis on homeopathy, in Monroe, Washington for 23 years. Her professional ties include former Chairperson of Minor Surgery, and Homeopathy and current Chairperson of, Emergency Medicine for the International Naturopathic Medical Board Tests, NPLEX. She is author of Homeopathy for Nurses (Bandito Press), and contributing author to Integrated Cardiology. When not practicing or teaching homeopathic or naturopathic medicine, Dr. Ivons enjoys tennis, cooking, gardening, or anything involving warm water and colorful fish. She has recently moved to Phoenix, Arizona to teach and head the Practitioner Program at AMCH.

    Mark Margolis is not just a Dentist, but also a Doctor of Integrative Medicine. As such, he is capable of handling many complex dental health cases that involve more just the mouth, but the whole body as well. Dr. Margolis focuses on restoring patient’s overall health and well being through many holistic techniques.
