Faculty are at the core of AMCH. They bring extensive experience in homeopathy, clinical treatment and teaching to our programs. A core value of AMCH is the success of students. Faculty are critical to this aspect of our college, and are trained and encouraged to work with students to ensure their success.

  • Cheri Newton

    Faculty Member

    Cheri Newton completed her Diploma in Homeopathy at the School of Homeopathy, New York, studying with great homeopathic mentors like Jeremy Sherr, Misha Norland, Sadhna Thakkars and Jo Daly, to name a few. She has brought her skills in mentoring and her enthusiasm for Homeopathy together in order to help educate Tucsonans about Classical Homeopathy.
  • Iris Bell MD, MD(H), PhD

    Chair of Research Department

    Dr. Bell graduated with an AB degree in biology from Harvard University, magna cum laude. She then received her PhD in Neuro- and Biobehavioral Sciences and her MD from Stanford University. After completing her psychiatry residency at the University of California - San Francisco, Dr. Bell served as a faculty member at the University of California - San Francisco and, later, at Harvard Medical School. She is board-certified in psychiatry, with added qualification in geriatric psychiatry. She has published over 100 peer-reviewed articles, as well as over a dozen book chapters, and a monograph on environmental chemical sensitivity. She has received grant funding from the National Institutes of Health, the Department of Veterans Affairs, and numerous private foundations on topics ranging from nutrition in dementia and depression to the neurobiology of environmental illness to individual difference predictors of excellent outcomes during classical homeopathic treatment. Dr. Bell is currently Professor of Psychiatry, Psychology, Medicine, Family & Community Medicine, and Public Health as well as Director of Research for the Program in Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona College of Medicine. She also directs an NIH-funded T32 Complementary and Alternative Medicine Research Training Grant for predoctoral and postdoctoral fellows.
  • Greg Meyer MD, MD(H), CCH

    Greg Meyer MD, MD(H), MSPH earned his Doctorate of Medicine at the University of Illinois College of Medicine, Chicago, Illinois and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona. His Masters of Science in Public Health /Epidemiology was completed at the University of Illinois Medical Center, Chicago. He completed the certificate program in Classical Homeopathy at the American Medical College of Homeopathy, Phoenix. Currently he practices Classical Homeopathy in Phoenix and is a licensed homeopathy physician in Arizona, and is faculty at the American Medical College of Homeopathy in Phoenix. In addition, he is a staff physician in urgent care for Cigna Healthcare, and is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Urgent Care Medicine. In his spare time he does photography and world travel.   • Debbie Noah CCH

    Debbie Noah, CCH has two offices to serve you; in Phoenix and Chandler, Arizona. Her bachelor’s degree in is Holistic Health, and her master’s is in Licensed Professional Counseling. She is a graduate of the American Medical College of Homeopathy and the British Institute of Homeopathy. She has taught homeopathy extensively and is on the faculty at AMCH, and the Southwest Institute of Healing Arts. She was one of the first members/teachers of the Phoenix Homeopathy Study Group and has been a promoter and practitioner of the art of homeopathy for 25 years.     Dr. Bruce Shelton is a graduate of the NY Medical College 1971. He is a diplomate of the British Institute of Homeopathy and a fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians. He is past President of the Arizona Board of Homeopathic Medical Examiners and the president of the Arizona Homeopathic and Integrative Medical Association. He serves as chief medical advisorto Heel USA. He has an active homeopathic family practice in Phoenix, AZ.
  • Gabrielle Cousens MD, MD(H)

    Gabriel Cousens M.D., M.D.(H), D.D. (Doctor of Divinity), Diplomate of American Board of Integrative Holistic Medicine, Diplomate Ayurveda is considered the leading live-food medical doctors and spiritual nutrition experts in the world, and, is recognized as "the fasting guru and detoxification expert" by the New York Times. He is also a psychiatrist, family therapist, Ayurvedic practitioner, homeopath, acupuncturist, medical researcher, ecological leader, and bestselling author of books such as Spiritual Nutrition, Conscious Eating, Rainbow Green Live Food Cuisine, and There Is a Cure for Diabetes. He received his M.D. degree from Columbia Medical School in 1969 and completed his psychiatry residency in 1973. Dr. Cousens was the Chief Mental Health Consultant for the Sonoma County Operation Head Start and a consultant for the California State Department of Mental Health.   • Betsy Reiling MPH, CCH

    Betsy has been practicing homeopathy in Pittsburgh, PA since 1994, treating all ages, often multiple generations in the same family. She especially enjoys caring for children. Her course of study included “The Professional Course” with Paul Herscu, ND of the New England School of Homeopathy, The Dynamis School of Homeopathy with Jeremy Sheer, and The North American Master Clinician’s Course with Louis Klein. More recently she has studied extensively with the Bombay group: Rajan Sankaran, Jayesh Shah, and Divya Chaabra. Betsy comes to homeopathy with a Masters in Public Health (MPH) from the University of Pittsburgh and a Bachelors from Allegheny College.
  • Pam Pappas MD, MD(H), ABPN, ABHM

    Dr. Pam Pappas is a board-certified psychiatrist and classical homeopath practicing in Scottsdale, Arizona. She brings over 20 years’ patient care experience to her current practice, which also includes confidential support for physicians and other health practitioners. Her web site is www.drpampappas.com. After graduating from Wake Forest University School of Medicine, she completed an Internal Medicine/Family Medicine internship and Psychiatric Medicine residency at East Carolina University School of Medicine. She later served a fellowship in Psychosomatic Medicine at Duke University Medical Center, and is also a graduate of Dr. Andrew Weil’s fellowship in Integrative Medicine at University of Arizona. Dr. Pappas has developed psychiatric consultation services in several large medical centers, along with training medical students and residents in interviewing and Psychiatric Medicine. She is especially interested in developing compassionate listening and optimizing healing relationships. A graduate of American Medical College of Homeopathy, Dr. Pappas is a licensed homeopathic physician in Arizona. She continues post-graduate homeopathic studies with Dr. Rajan Sankaran, Dr. Divya Chhabra, and California Center for Homeopathic Education. Serving as Distance Learning Consultant for AMCH, she also facilitates homeopathic learning modules for the Program in Integrative Medicine.   • Joel Kreisberg DC, MA

    Faculty Member

    Joel Kreisberg, DC, MA - is the founder and Executive Director of the Teleosis Institute. He is currently adjunct professor for John F. Kennedy University's Masters Program in Holistic Health Education and an instructor at the Acupuncture and Integrative Medical College. Dr. Kreisberg completed his Doctor of Chiropractic from New York Chiropractic College and a Master of Arts in Integral Ecology from Prescott College. Dr. Kreisberg serves as the chair of Sustainable Berkeley. He has been teaching and lecturing worldwide over twenty years. Dr. Kreisberg has been a leading educator in the field of homeopathic medicine for many years. He founded the Council on Homeopathic Education and has founded and directed the Teleosis School of Homeopathy. In more recent years his interests have changed somewhat into teaching in the field of green health care and sustainable medicine.
  • Tina Williams BA, IBCLC, RLC

    Faculty Member; Academic Affairs Consultant

    Tina Williams-Wolf, has been an advocate of Homeopathy for over 22 years; since becoming intrigued with it's healing power with her own three children. Currently, she is in private practice as a Classical Homeopath in Portland, Oregon. A graduate of the American Medical College of Homeopathy, Tina studied under the acclaimed Dr. Todd Rowe. Her advanced education has included study under such world-renowned homeopaths such as Jeff Baker of Hawaii and Massimo Mangavalori of Italy. In addition to her private practice, Tina is currently on faculty at the American Medical College of Homeopathy. Tina is also a Master Herbalist, Certified in Microcurrent Therapy, and is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). She is experienced with mothers, infants and children.
