Key Events in AMCH HIstory
The American Medical College of Homeopathy (AMCH) was established in Phoenix, Arizona, in 1999. Originally named the Desert Institute School of Classical Homeopathy, it changed its name to the American Medical College of Homeopathy in 2006.  It was founded by Todd Rowe MD, MD(H), CCH, DHt, Thelma Rowe PsyD, Patrick Hesselmann CCH and Lesley Hesselmann DiHom. 

1996

  • Begin AMCH Self-paced Distance Learning Program

1999

  • Achieving non-profit status for the Desert Institute School of Homeopathy (DISCH)

2000

  • Arizona State Licensure for Certificate and Distance Learning Program
  • Begin First Part Time Class for Certificate Program
  • Expansion of Self-paced Distance Learning Programs

2001

  • Begin Second Certificate Program Class
  • Opening of Medical Center

2002

  • First Certificate Program Class Graduates
  • Initiate Preceptorship Program

2003

  • Second Certificate Program Class Graduates

2004

  • Begin Third Certificate Program Class
  • Council for Homeopathic Education Provisional Accreditation

  • Third Certificate Program Class Graduates
  • Council for Homeopathic Education Full Accreditation
  • Establish Name, Vision, Mission, Strategic Plan, Board of Trustees for the American Medical College of Homeopathy (AMCH)
  • Begin National Fundraising Drive
  • First Annual AMCH Fundraising Conference and Dinner

  • Arizona State Licensure for Full Time Program
